Sown in Faith Press creates biblically faithful, practical resources for children’s ministries.

We believe children are capable of learning deep and lasting truths from God’s Word. We also believe the people who faithfully teach them deserve resources that are clear, flexible, and genuinely helpful.

How It Began

Hi, I’m Tammy, the founder and curriculum writer behind Sown in Faith Press.

As a children’s ministry director, I found myself heavily adapting curriculum for our weekly programs and Vacation Bible School. Many available resources seemed to assume that a church had abundant classroom space, a large volunteer pool, generous financial resources, and plenty of preparation time.

That was not the ministry setting I was serving.

I needed lessons that would work within real limitations of time, space, class size, budget, and volunteer availability. I also worked with caring adults who wanted children to know God’s Word but did not always feel confident teaching it. Some were hesitant to volunteer because they worried they didn’t know enough or wouldn’t know what to say.

By the time I adapted the material to fit our children, volunteers, and available resources, I had often rewritten so much that I was essentially creating my own curriculum.

From there, I began developing lessons differently from the start.

Instead of beginning with an ideal classroom, unlimited supplies, or a large ministry team, I began with the realities churches actually face. I wanted resources that were biblically substantial without being intimidating, clearly organized without being rigid, and engaging without requiring an elaborate production.

That work became Sown in Faith Press.

Our Approach

Everything we create begins with Scripture and is shaped by four commitments:

• Biblically faithful: God’s Word is the foundation of every lesson and resource.
• Volunteer-friendly: Clear directions and meaningful support help teachers feel prepared.
• Flexible: Resources can be adapted for different ages, group sizes, schedules, spaces, and teaching strengths.
• Purposeful: Activities are chosen to help children understand and remember the biblical truth—not merely to fill time.
